All of the toys in our infant and toddler rooms encourage children to release their energy and improve their fine and gross motor skills, cognitive skills, and social/emotional development.

Our Toddler-1 Room is designed for 8 children starting as young as 8 months old with a 1:4 teacher to child ratio. Each child has their own cubby and an area for storing their diapers, wipes, ointments and personal items. There is an 8 seat table where the children eat and/or are assisted in eating by a teacher, do arts and crafts, as well as other educational activities. There is also a bathroom in the room, located next to the changing table, if a child shows interest in potty training. A sink is located in the room for handwashing before and after eating, diaper changes, as well as when needed. Each child has their own pack n’ play that is only used by them during naptime. A microwave is conveniently located in both the Kitchen and Toddler-2 rooms for use in heating up food. The walls are the perfect canvas for us to display the children’s artwork.

Toddlers at this stage are full of energy and eager to explore everything around them. They love all kinds of physical activities such as pulling, pushing, lugging, knocking down, emptying and filling. Toddlers are curious and enjoy touching and investigating everything they see. It’s a wonderful age to learn, explore and discover. Age-appropriate toys we provide for toddlers are musical toys, outdoor toys, ride-on toys and simple construction toys such as building blocks and puzzles. We have Electronic Activity centers for children to push the buttons and hear the sounds each toy makes, push walkers that help children develop walking skills, books of all kinds, stackable toys for learning balance, nesting toys for spatial awareness, stuffed animals and dolls for imaginative play, manipulative toys, sensory blocks, balls, and arts and crafts supplies.
